Amazing Event NOT TO MISS in Spokane Christmas Eve

all-is-calm-media-2-danscape-24-of-852Something special is about to happen on Christmas Eve and if you are around the Spokane, Washington area, I don’t want you to miss it. You will be talking about it for years. It’s a theatrical event that thrilled me, fascinated me, and moved me deeply.

The Modern Theatre Coeur d’Alene’s production of “All Is Calm” moves to Spokane’s historic Bing Theater for one night only on Christmas Eve. That is the centennial anniversary of a miraculous event when World War I soldiers on Christmas Eve of 1914 spontaneously stopped the war and mixed together for certainly the most surreal Christmas party ever.

As a merciful gift during the busy holiday season, the show runs only just over an hour. But what an incredible experience. The fantastic music is performed almost non-stop by just the voices of the 11-man cast. The score is haunting, festive, and powerful. The riveting story of this Christmas miracle is told through the quotes from diaries and letters of soldiers at the front. Their story left me breathless. Director Abbey Crawford has lovingly empowered this talented cast to create something really special.

After seeing the show, I called friends and family and relived the experience for almost an hour. I immediately ordered a book to read more about this incredible event.

I encourage you to allow the power of this Christmas story into your holiday festivities.

The show begins at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Tickets will range from $15 to $25 through all TicketsWest outlets, by calling (800) 325-SEAT or online at
