“Voices of Alaska”

Alaska show headshotVOICES OF ALASKA: A Journey through the Great Land in Story and Song

This heartfelt show celebrates The Great Land through story and song. This show can be presented as an intimate performance with piano and voice or with accompanying recorded tracks or a live band. This show can be customized for any size venue or audience.

Voices of Alaska contains both touching and lively songs written about Alaska and combines them with thrilling stories from the pages of the Great Land’s history. You’ll hear memorable melodies from the likes of John Denver and Johnny Horton and the prose of writers such as John Muir and Robert W. Service.

Laura Sable and Bill Wiemuth have lived in Alaska and performed on land and on cruises for Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, and Majestic America Line. Their passion for The Great Land had inspired them to create this show with some of their own original music. They both earned their Alaska Naturalist Certification from the University of Alaska-Southeast and have traveled all over North America, the United Kingdom and to Australia sharing their music and stories about Alaska.
